First of all a student must have knowledge about Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET)In the State of Haryana, in 2008, the Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani started conducting this test with the name of School Teachers Eligibility Test (STET) till 2009. However after implementation of RTE Act, 2009 and the notification by the NCTE in 2011, this examination was renamed as Haryana Teachers Eligibility Test (HTET). This test is conducted by the Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani for three categories of school teachers : Primary, TGT and PGT. in accordance with the guidelines, Rules, Regulations, Instructions and Policies laid down by the National Council for Teacher Education and the Department of School Education, Haryana. There must be one of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the govt. or recognized schools in Haryana is that he or she should pass the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) which will be conducted by the Haryana Government with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE
